In retrospect

I've been working more or less simultaneously on this series of photos and the writing here that I've illustrated with some of them. Sometimes I chose the writing to go with the photograph, other times the picture dictated the prose.

Although I didn't start out with any theme in mind, certain photographs began to fit well together, at least in my mind. Here they are, along with a few you haven't seen, in a more comprehensive presentation.

It's unfortunate you can't see them as I do, in a seamless slideshow on a nice widescreen monitor. The web still has quite a ways to go.
